1. Services
Sterling & Associates provides professional accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial advisory services as outlined in individual engagement letters. Services are subject to professional standards set by the AICPA.
2. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate and complete information, respond to requests in a timely manner, disclose all relevant financial information, and maintain confidentiality of portal credentials.
3. Fees & Payment
Fees are outlined in engagement letters and invoices. Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date. Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly interest charge. We reserve the right to suspend services for past-due accounts.
4. Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with professional ethics standards. Information is only shared with third parties with explicit consent or as required by law.
5. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for penalties or interest resulting from inaccurate information provided by the client.
6. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation, then mediation, and finally binding arbitration in Franklin County, Ohio under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
7. Website Use
Use of this website and client portal is subject to these terms. You agree not to misuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. The courts of Franklin County, Ohio shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
